Prior to the Internet, renting a car for a vacation was a major pain in the neck. Fortunately, the Internet has greatly simplified the process. Instead of being put on hold while waiting to talk to a booking agent, you can now instantly reserve a rental car online.

If you are planning a trip to Airlie Beach, one car rental company to consider is Budget. Budget is known around the world for providing rental cars at a reasonable price. Currently, they are offering several different specials for car rentals in Australia. Here’s a quick look at what they are offering:

-If you are going to be in Australia for ten days, you can rent a car for the entire duration, but with this special from Budget, you will only pay for eight days. If you are staying in Australia for longer than ten days, this special still applies. Simply rent a car from Budget for at least ten days in a row, and you will get two of them for free.

-Even if you aren’t staying in Australia for ten days, you can still take advantage of the next great special. If you rent an economy through full-size car from Budget for at least four days, they will upgrade you a full car class for absolutely free.

-Finally, if you are taking an extended trip to Australia and plan on being there for two weeks or longer, you can save an entire $100 on your Budget rental car.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car does not currently service Airlie Beach. Fortunately, several other internationally known car rental companies are located in Airlie Beach. These include Hertz, Europcar and Avis.

If you are planning on visiting Airlie Beach, you are probably interested in getting an idea of how much a car rental will cost you. Although car rental prices fluctuate on a regular basis, it’s still possible to get a rough idea by performing a test search.

For this example, we will use VroomVroomVroom’s comparison search. We only have to enter our information once, and we will be able to see the best deals offered by Hertz, Europcar and Avis.

The example we will use is a four day trip in November. We will arrive in Airlie Beach on Thursday, November 11th, and head back to the United States on November 15th. We will pick and drop-off the rental car at the same location in Airlie Beach, and the driver of the car will be at least twenty-five years old.

Using this scenario, here are some of the best deals that VroomVroomVroom finds (all vehicles are automatic, and include air-conditioning):

Hertz – An economy sized car for a total of 207.27 AUD ($190.07 USD). Hertz’s economy cars are a Toyota Yaris or similar vehicle.

Europcar – A compact sized car for a total of 254.69 AUD ($233.55 USD). Europcar’s compact cars are a Hyundai Getz or similar vehicle.

Avis – An intermediate sized car for a total of 358.06 AUD ($328.34 USD). The Avis intermediate car is Hyundai Elantra or similar 4-door vehicle.
